The Portuguese Diplomats’ Spouses Association is organizing a guided visit in English to the Maritime Museum, at Belém, on March 4th, at 10.30 a.m.
The Museum focuses mainly on the golden period of the Portuguese Discoveries and the relationship of the Portuguese with the Sea. The objects that help to tell the story of that relationship are varied: scale model ships and royal vessels, paintings and engravings, order insignia and arms, sailing maps and navigational instruments, among others.
Date: Wednesday, March 4th, 10.30 a.m.
Meeting point: 10.15 a.m. at the Maritime Museum entrance. (Praça do Império, 1400-206 Lisbon).
