Dear Friends, join us on a guided tour of the National Museum of Coaches!

 Dear Friends,

Our cultural program is back with a private tour of the Museu Nacional dos Coches.

The visit will include the Museum collection (http://museudoscoches.gov.pt/pt/explore/colecao/),  the workshop and laboratory for preservation and restoration (http://museudoscoches.gov.pt/pt/museu/oficina/) as well as the Museum's reserves. 

This will be a unique opportunity to look into the backstage of one of Portugal’s most visited museums and tour the restoration work that is done there as well as some collection pieces hidden from the general public eye.

Our visit will take place on a Monday, a day that the Museum will be closed to the public and the tour will be guided in English.

The visit will be free of charge, but since we will be hosted so graciously and generously we suggest a donation of 10 euro per person to the restoration fund of Queen Amélia's Mantle (http://museudoscoches.gov.pt/pt/explore/outras-colecoes/colecoes-detalhe/?c=manto-da-rainha-d-amelia). 

 

Date: Monday February 19, 2018.

Time: 10:30 a.m.

Meeting place: Entrance to the new building of Museu dos Coches (Av. da Índia 136, 1300-300 Lisboa).
