We would like to propose a visit to Alenquer, a town 45 minutes away from Lisbon with a lot to see https://www.youtube.com/watch?
This full day tour is an initiative of Mrs Aida Siqueira Freire, a long time member of AFDP, who is also kindly inviting us for tea at her beautiful Quinta do Bairro.
The visit will start at the City Hall followed by the Convent of St. Francis and the House and Church of the Holy Spirit.
We will have lunch at the restaurant “Casta 85” https://www.facebook.com/
After lunch, the tour continues at the Museum João Mário and the Basilica of Saint Quiteria of Meca.
We will leave for Mrs Aida Siqueira´s manor house (Quinta do Bairro) around 4:00 p.m.
Date and time: October 6, 10:30 a.m.
Meeting point: the group will meet in front of Alenquer’s Court House.
Transportation in Alenquer: a bus kindly provided by the City Hall will be awaiting us in Alenquer.
Transportation to Alenquer: we would very much appreciate it if you could let us know in case you would have room in your car for other member(s) of the group or if you would need a ride. We will try to carpool as much as possible.
